November 19, 2022I hope October has brought you more treats than tricks. I don’t have a bunch to say or report this month. I’m waist deep into a new research job that I really love—deadlines, guidelines, and formatting. Oh My! I have some awesome recommendations this month for podcasts, books, and music, and then please enjoy this month’s installation of PEAR, a forum for teens to express themselves. If you know a teen who writes and wants publishing credit, have them email me at elainaparsons77@gmail.com My favorite podcast: Ologies with Allie Ward. (Science) My favorite new album: Fossora by Bjork (she refers to this as her MUSHROOM album, and it’s everything you’ve ever wanted from her!) My favorite tracks on Fossora: Sorrowful Soil, Atopos New Books to check out: 50-Word Stories (Volume two) fo Micro Fiction Lovers. (I had a part in creating this one!) Two people. 10 miles away. Polar opposites from head-toe. From a stranger to my best friend in just one year of meeting her on a random night in September. This girl changed my life. She lifts me from the dark and brings me to light. She is the funniest, brightest, and most perfect person I know. Her house is mine, and my house is hers. I would give her the world if I could, but that wouldn’t be enough. She takes away all my fear, anger, and sadness. Everything is perfect with her as my Best Friend. |
